Copyright Policy

1. Introduction

FileAlchemy respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Economy Act 2010 and the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, we have adopted this Copyright Policy. This policy is designed to guide our users and to address claims of copyright infringement on our platform.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on FileAlchemy, please notify our Copyright Agent as set forth in the Digital Economy Act 2010. For your complaint to be valid under the Act, you must provide the following information in writing:

• An electronic or physical signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
• Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and where it is located on the Service;
• Information reasonably sufficient to permit FileAlchemy to contact you, such as your address, telephone number, and email address;
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law;
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

3. Counter-Notification Procedures

If you believe that your content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or pursuant to the law, to upload and use the content in your user submission, you may send a written counter-notification to our Copyright Agent.

4. Repeat Infringers

FileAlchemy will terminate user accounts of repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than twice and/or has had user submissions removed from the service more than twice.

5. Accommodation of Standard Technical Measures

It is FileAlchemy's policy to accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works, subject to the need to avoid imposing substantial costs on FileAlchemy or substantial burdens on their systems or networks.

6. Modifications to Policy

FileAlchemy reserves the right to modify this Copyright Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage prior to the change becoming effective.
